Wow...one first round monster match-up: United States vs. Puerto Rico

Japan vs. Taiwan could be pretty good too.

Australia vs. New Zealand is like the Oceania rivalry?

I've got players with Japan and Mexico. I'd love to see one of those groups win it all.

I've got the youngest player on Canada's squad, so I'll be rooting for them, though I don't expect him to play.

Tough first match up for NZ - think of it as our version of USA v Canada though, we're the small cousins!

NZ indeed upset the Aussies, and USA out in the first round - this is BB's version of the FIFA world cup!

Best round #2 match-up, Puerto Rico vs. Mexico?

After cheering for Canada since the Classic's inception, I stumbled into one of their NT players last season. Though Leclerc had a nice series against Italy. South Korea is a tough draw in round 2.

Losing the US in the first round is a bit of a stunner, tho the match up with Puerto Rico would have made a fine final.

Panama slips past Dominican republic. Harrisonburg's own "Buck" Vargas has "player of the game" award in the fifth and deciding game. That was nice!

Panama next faces red hot Puerto Rico. Urghh... If the pull off that upset maybe Panama will be in line to repeat what they did but didn't do in the 2035 that didn't happen.

US is out, Dominican Republic is out, Mexico is out; that’s a lot of heavy hitters out before even getting to the third round. Kinda makes you wonder how far Puerto Rico and Cuba are going to make it, with some of the giants being felled early…

Interesting final four: Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela & South Korea.

Good luck to all...

Puerto Rico should take it. They embarrassed all of their other opponents.

Laredo Mules teammates, staff, and fans are very proud of "King" Min Jae Kim success with South Korea in the World Classic 2037.
As Korea SP1 and lowest ERA among starting pitchers, Kim well deserves this accomplishment.

Laredo Mules franchise seizes the opportunity to remember New Ring of Honor inductee Gabriel "Stepi" Stephens success as SP1 of the World Classic 2031 U.S.A. team.

…And what Min Jae Kim was for South Korea’s pitching, Jung Hwan “The Beast” Lee was for the team’s offense. Leading the team in hits, doubles, and stolen bases, he also lead the team in batting average, OBP, and OPS among players with at least thirty at bats.

Lee, coming off an MVP season in VI.8, is a notoriously slow starter, frequently turning in poor performances in World Classic games and frequently leaving questions of whether he’ll even make the All Star team until interdivisional games begin. The entire Rats organization are deliriously happy for Lee, though manager Pete McAndrews joked, “Hopefully he still has something left in the tank for the regular season after that run!”

'Good job, young padawans', says Duck Young Park, who won his second World Classic after 2029 triumph. Despite playing only one (but crucial and winning) inning in the final series this time, his influence and experience shouldn't be taken lightly. Legend!

Hey!!! Why are y'all failing to mention Young Ja Heo? 9 consecutive World Classic appearances and he went 4-0 with a 2.56 ERA and four outta five Quality Starts.

Very proud of S. Korea!!!
