Broken Bat - Suggestions: Waivers

Jason2327 Joined: 09/02/2014 Posts: 720 Abilene Patriots III.2	Would it be o good idea that any players that hit the waiver wire before Aug. 31 get to finish going thru the waiver process? In MLB any players on the waiver wire before then have until midnight of September 1st to be claimed. Steve would have to make it so all players claim times expire by then. Not sure how difficult that would be.

admin Joined: 01/27/2010 Posts: 4985 Administrator	We can't really process waiver claims after Sept. 1st, because real time doesn't map linearly into game time. Hence a player cut just before Sept. 1st would be on the waiver wire for a few days in real time. However, that could place his waiver deadline sometime in late September game time. That's just too late to be adding players to the roster. What I have done is gotten ride of the gap were some players are released just before Sept. 1st, are available for claiming, but because their deadline is after Sept. 1st, they never get processed. In these cases, will wouldn't allow claims anymore. Steve

Jason2327 Joined: 09/02/2014 Posts: 720 Abilene Patriots III.2	1 thing that would also be nice to see fixed is 2 players dropped on the same day having the same waiver time. Makes no sense for one player to have 72 hrs and another to have 108 hrs when they are released the same day
