Draft is scheduled for April 2nd Send me a message, either on this board, or thru the game PM, and I will reply ASAP with the password I will try to be online all day. To make things more interesting, I changed the standard format a bit: - OBP and SLG instead of Avg and HR ( that's to keep balance between Hitting and Pitching with 2 Average categories each) - 2 Catchers per team - bench 8 deep, to make room for Sleepers

You prepare your list in advance, and the players are picked accordingly. I don't know hoa to make a live draft, or how to participate in one. I believe it'd be very inconvenient for a wide audience like in BB

Settings Anyway, after a players is released, he goes on Waivers until the next day. After one day he's a FA on a first come first serve basis. Waivers are processed in order: initially, reverse order of draft order. When you're awarded a claim you drop in last place. As easy as that: )

Since I've so far avoided that kind of game (I tried a fantasy soccer league with some friends a while ago, but lost interest rather quickly - it's kind of pointless with one game a week and rather arbitrary points awarded, anyway), I'm not really sure I know what the hell I'm doing. Have patience with me (or just enjoy my fumbles).

In "Fantasy"->"Baseball" under MY TEAMS I see my team and the league, but from my mobile neither is clickable. The desktop page looks entirely different, and the same path takes me to a clickable link on my team.

I have a few years experience in Fantasy Baseball, but don't worry, ESPN has a lot of tools available to get someone somewhat informed. Knowledge of the game also goes a long way into it as well. Didn't cross my mind until this morning. Sorry lads. Kind of funny looking at my computer picked roster. Chris Sale was one of my stalwarts in fantasy last sason. Had Jimmy Rollins for a while last sason too. Got some guys with something to prove, which I like. Upton, Jaso, Dickerson, Bautista to an extent. Probably wouldn't have taken Beltre (think he is likely to brak down). And it seems like half my bullpen is on the DL. I'll make the team more my own as we go along. Oh yeah. Holmes Joined: 11/07/2013 Posts: 1175 Inactive	Neglected? Hmmm, I've been looking in like every other day, watching my team drop from 1 to 4, but I'm not really sure what I could reasonably do there. I've improved one position compared to the draft from free agency and replaced one player who went to the DL, but apart from that, the season's running, no imminent need for a trade (and no interest from others, it seems), so what't there to do? Maybe I don't really understand the whole thing yet.

I didn't realize it was going to be a daily league either (myself, prefer a weekly format). I suppose ESPN has done that to have more traffic The bench was meant to be used for prospects, or injured players: I signed Profar and Hamilton! Being a daily league, I realize the long bench can be exploited for backups, to play when the regulars take a day off. I didn't mean to be like that. it cannot be changed now.

amalric7 Joined: 01/20/2016 Posts: 2238 New York Lancers V.4	A schoolboy error, I have to say. Pitching is so deep in recent years you have to draft bats (and specfically power bats) with all your high picks if you want to challenge for the title. Its that simple.

I'm doing OK so far, disappointed there hasn't been a few more trade offers floating around though!

crackit Joined: 05/15/2013 Posts: 315 Anchorage Lawless IV.4	I had heard of the rotisserie league but never understood how it works, I like the simplicity and elegance of the design (someone could have come up with some really complex scoring system). I used the default player ranking for the draft as my knowledge of the MLB as a whole wasn't sufficient to do otherwise. Now though I have a greater interest in games I might not of done and I've discovered the talents of Jose Altuve. My only observation is that I think the draft goes to deep into the pool of players (and I know you warned us about this). A slightly unbalanced selection, some poor early season form and a couple of key injuries leaves me cast adrift at the bottom without many options to strengthen. I wonder if we could have a slightly smaller roster next year should, as I hope, the exercise is repeated. It's a long season, so form can improve and players return from injury so I still hope to mount a challenge, even if it is only mid table.

There's less waiver wire and trade movement than I'd anticipated as well. If we do this again next season, I should be better prepared

The pickings are too thin for me to trade in any other position and I have had to work hard to creep up from 20th to 10th (reaching just below the 105 pts we all began with) to dismantle my line-up too much. Please propose a trade in game if you do.

Remains to be seen whether I can hold it, but I have the makings of a steady ship in the Europe league though (do I get disqualified for being in neither Europe or North America?.....)

I think any further will be too much of a stretch and I am still fending off teams just below. What I have appreciated most is my increased knowledge of MLB players beyond my beloved Red Sox. I used the auto draft and picked up Joey Votto (who I know as my wife is a Reds fan) and Altuve who has been a revelation to me but others like Cruz, Pillar, Miller and Hendricks along the way too. Thanks for the suggestion and the invitation, it has broadened my MLB horizon.

Now I can name backup outfielders for most teams The league is getting interesting now, after a long run with a 20+ points margin REGRESSION is taking over the Laredo roster. Arreta, Hamels, Cueto are not winning anymore. All Stars Michael Saunders and Ian Desmond are hitting at their usual level. So is Leonys Martin Rajai Davis is out of the lineup eventually. Team Hasel is on fire, along with Billy Hamilton...

It was noticeable that the teams who could make regular changes were able to do best so maybe a weekly setup would make it more convenient and thus more competitive. For me the roster went too deep, as this too would mean there is enough tale around for teams to make changes. Anyway whatever the case I really appreciated and enjoyed the challenge and felt much more engaged with the MLB season as a consequence. Thanks for setting it up.

On ESPN, there's no particular perks entitled to the league manager. Besides the fact that i dony have the tablet anymore, and the mobile is cumbersome to use, I feel it's better if we rotate management, to make it as communal as possible. So be my guest: go on and Start it! Maybe we should hear what's people's preferences first. I didn't like the daily lineups! It took too much time to check today's starters (couple hours per day!). I'm not gonna spend so much time again on it I understand ESPN does that to create traffic on the site, but I'd prefer a weekly set up. Also, my choice for very large rosters, and deep bench, didn't work out as expected: I was looking for room to keep prospects, it turned out to be a way to "platoon" (again, because of the daily lineup) Also, there's no need for 20 teams if several owners are gonna be inactive.
