Broken Bat Baseball
Hi,

I am a bit confused with the players management.

I have setup for L.Kelly from my team to pinch hit for LHP - 7 and for RHP - X but in this match http://brokenbat.org/game/2059552 , its 7 inning , Wyatt a RHP is pitching and my manager replace Figueroa who is a lefty with Kelly who is righty , what I am doing wrong ?

"Pinch Hit For" is referring to when you want to take that guy out of the line-up, not put him in. In other words, if Kelly were in the lineup in the 7th inning against a LHP there is a chance that the manager would take him out and put in another player as a pinch hitter.

The game gives you no control over who will come in as a pinch hitter. The AI manager makes that determination on the field. In the game you highlight here, your settings would only influence Figueroa being pulled.

EDIT: Given you were interpreting it backwards, you probably have everyone set to the reverse of what you want. You probably want Kelly set to LHP - x, RHP - 7. That would mean in the 7th inning or later if Kelly were in the game against a right handed pitcher he would likely get pulled.

Also check if Figueroa is being pulled for defense. If you are up be a lot, guys checked for "Replace for Defense" will get pulled.

I thought "replace for defense" meant the player would be replaced by a better defensive player in a close game. Is that wrong?
