Haselrig Joined: 04/13/2014 Posts: 2790 Novi Doubledays III.4 | Personally, I try to get hitters 50 ABs during spring training. 500 ABs or so is about a full season's worth for an everyday player and the season has ten training updates, so 50+ ABs should represent a full workload for a week. ST spills over into next week, so you don't have to cram all 50 into this week. Pitchers are a little different. They gain quickly when they promote to the majors and start getting experience, so I don't worry too much about how many inning's worth of work they get. I try to spread starts around to guys I'll need to be ready sooner rather than the ones towards the bottom of the pipeline. |

Rock777 Joined: 09/21/2014 Posts: 9601 Haverhill Halflings III.1 | During the season I usually try to get batters 20 ABs and pitchers 10 IPs per training update. But I have no idea if that is sufficient. It just seems to be a reasonable number to attain without forcing rookies into every game. |
