1. Should I fire my manager, when I hired him is player Dev was 9 and his defense was 9-10 but now they're both 8, I hired him because his hitting was 12 so I thought it made up for his poor development, but my minor leaguers are training slower than they probably could be (didn't project the manager would make such a difference)

2. If I have good hitters already (mine at quite mediocre but not as bad as my pitching at all) will my hitting be penalized with a poor hitting coach or will it just not have bonuses added or less bonus. How does that work. So if I find a manager with 8 hit 12 pitch 10 field and 12 development, I can expect my pitching to get a boost but my hitting to be as well as it would on its own or will hitters hit less than they should with their skills. I hope people understand the question I'm trying to conmmunicate here.

3. How much difference does a manager even make, how important is a good manager

1. Yes. Managers have a very small impact, but you can get a better one. Managers reveal over time, but they don't improve over time. So that guy who is excellent at developing players but is only showing a 10, is actually performing at the level of a 16 (or whatever he actually is).

2. Again, managers have a very small impact. Its doubtful you will even notice the difference.

3. Very little according to Steve. But why not get the best one you can? They do have some impact after all.

We've been told managers have very little impact. What does that mean, though? +/-1% sounds almost inconsequential, right? Apply that to a full season and you get about a 30 run differential from worst to best. I'd bet my hat their impact is at least that much, which to me is not insignificant. In my opinion, creating more realistic/impactful managers made the game worse.
If you can find a manager who looks better than your current one, you absolutely have to fire and hire.
