I took over a team end of last season and I am starting in on my first full season. I think I have figured out the batting but my pitching is god awful and I am 23 games back and 14 games back of just not being relegated to League V. With being this far back I am thinking of cutting some expensive older players and cutting minor leaguers that are POT of under 11. My question to the veterans, is it worth hitting the implosion button to clear room for more players and save some cash or should I ride the season out and make changes between seasons? Thanks for the help and I am enjoying the game. Thinking of cutting http://brokenbat.org/player/74677 http://brokenbat.org/player/76334 http://brokenbat.org/player/73537 http://brokenbat.org/player/97762 and http://brokenbat.org/player/73056 Also thinking of letting my manger go who makes 6.4 a year. Has anybody fired a manger halfway through the season? If so what kind of side effects did it create? http://brokenbat.org/manager/119 Updated Friday, August 12 2016 @ 6:20:49 pm PDT |

If you have aging guys who aren't performing, it can be a good idea to replace them anyhow, but given your record and run differential, I'd say you have even better reason to give those guys short hooks. I think PĂ©rez is done. I'd cut him. Sasaki could turn things around, but he is old. If he is blocking young guys from getting in (or costing you too much money), then you could cut him. Otherwise you could stash him in your rotation somewhere where he isn't in the way. I'd cut Graham. I'd cut Scott. I'd cut Coffey. Just make sure you have enough guys to field a team... I'm pretty sure there are no side effects from firing anyone mid-season in this game. Even if he didn't cost a ton, I would definitely fire your manager, and try and find an upgrade from the new managers (with reputation reports). |
