He might do better in AA for a few weeks at least. But yeah, you want him to get some time in AAA and you want him into the majors by the time spring training has ended next year. So maybe give him half a year in AA and half a year in AAA? If you want to be extra cautious with him, you could give him most of this year in AA and then promote him near the end of the year and keep him in AAA until after the all star break in the following year.
