I just drafted him a few hours ago, mainly due to his especially young age and "very good" potential, something I don't see a lot. His skills aren't quite as good as I would have hoped for, but his potential might help make up for that. So where do you see him in ten years, gradewise. Will he ever be all that good?

As a 16 year old his SI looks fine. As long as he has healthy growth he should have no problem maxing out. One thing to be aware of, many players grow very slowly before they reach 20 years old. So don't pull the trigger too quickly. Wait until he is at least 21 before judging his growth.

What Rock said. He doesn't really have the arm you'd like at 3B and his range is borderline for 2B, but I'd try training him up there or at 1B/OF (or a combination). Should turn into a decent player, if you have the room - and the patience!
