However given this guy already has 59 BF this training period, I would leave him up so he can gain the experience he has earned (he'll lose it if he is in the minors during the training update on Friday). Being in his second year of AA he seems to be progressing fine, so you probably aren't hurting him having him up. |

My advice would be to just leave him up until you deem him expendible down the road as you improve your team. I would think that he could get within 4-5 SI of his cap by the end of next season if he improves at an average developmental clip for a major league starter.

FurySK Joined: 02/07/2015 Posts: 299 Inactive | Guys with 12 potential that could replace this guy's spot in the minors for development purposes: http://brokenbat.org/player/124184 http://brokenbat.org/player/136653 http://brokenbat.org/player/131285 http://brokenbat.org/player/134176 http://brokenbat.org/player/129333 And thats not all of the guys, thats just a brief look at a couple of 20-23 year olds that i did in 5 minutes. This player is on pace for the low end of his strikeout potential, so at best the end result is no better than 16/7/10/12/15 w/ 13/12/15 defense. Thats 95 SI, and capped. Most players, i would follow the advice of everyone else and let the game tell you where to put them, because inevitably with 95% of the players worth development the game will probably know more than you do. I just happen to think that the most mileage you will get out of this player is probably ignoring that and utilizing him now to fill out your team for the next season or two. |

If there are players he thinks are better on FA, then he should just replace the guy. If he thinks this guy is better than his ratings show, he might choose to develop him. I don't see any situation where it makes sense to push an underdeveloped minor league player into the majors just to take up space.

FurySK Joined: 02/07/2015 Posts: 299 Inactive | I think that guy would be a cut for me. I don't see the upside in him, even if he outperforms his skill level. That being said, he's going to cut about 30 guys ahead of that player, and has minimums he'll have to keep while he locates that other talent. |
