metalbat13 Joined: 01/18/2016 Posts: 60 Inactive | From what I've seen, it appears that the penalty for a left-handed catcher is not as severe as the penalty for a left-handed 2B, 3B, or SS. This mirrors real life: in real life, a left-handed catcher is really only handicapped against right-handed batters (throwing arm is closer to the batter when firing down to second or third base). Against a left-handed batter, a left-handed catcher actually has a small advantage. It's just that right-handed batters typically outnumber left-handed batters. Hope that makes sense. | ||

But I think I have since seen in the online game manual that it says something about there being a penalty for lefty catchers. But if he won the gold glove then your lefty is overcoming the penalty! |
