Seca Joined: 05/05/2014 Posts: 5199 Waterloo Dinosaurs Legends | I suspect that most divisions are competitive enough that using someone without position knowledge at SS will sink the boat. The effects are greater than fielding %. Not that teaching Ashley to play SS is a bad idea, but its going to be hard to compete. (He had 17 1st half HRs? Really? ). Position players look good. Proper skill sets at key positions. Good amount of hit tool and a nice mix of power and speed. Another top end pitcher would certainly help. (I find it curious your LHSU is RHP and your RHSU is LHP ... a unique strategy!) |

Against Birmingham a LHP as RHSU would delay the entry of their LHB pinch hit army (Quezada, Townsend, et all ... there is like 5 of them). I've tried to force Bagley --> Sanchez --> Luque a few times, but through changing setup roles rather than inverting the specialists. But ya, may not be the intent here. |
