I suspect that most divisions are competitive enough that using someone without position knowledge at SS will sink the boat. The effects are greater than fielding %. Not that teaching Ashley to play SS is a bad idea, but its going to be hard to compete. (He had 17 1st half HRs? Really? :) ).

Position players look good. Proper skill sets at key positions. Good amount of hit tool and a nice mix of power and speed. Another top end pitcher would certainly help.

(I find it curious your LHSU is RHP and your RHSU is LHP ... a unique strategy!)

Just to help translate for you,

Seca's "Unique Strategy" = "Are you insane!" ;)

You have your LHSU and your RHSU flopped.

If you had an opponent that had really good bats on the bench, this might keep them there. At least a little longer.

Against Birmingham a LHP as RHSU would delay the entry of their LHB pinch hit army (Quezada, Townsend, et all ... there is like 5 of them). I've tried to force Bagley --> Sanchez --> Luque a few times, but through changing setup roles rather than inverting the specialists.

But ya, may not be the intent here.
