Minimum potential for a major league player in most cases will be an 11 potential (95 SI). Most of these types will be relievers, as they can fit enough skill in with low stamina to be useful.

for each potential above 11, you can increase the SI by 8 to get the capped number.

Your team is really old and will collapse into D.VI relatively soon. It's best that you start to purge some of the veterans, namely those south of 10-11 hitting, and start bringing in some 12 potential under 25 guys into your minors until you find more help. anyone without a hitting comment or a negative hitting comment is fairly low value. any pitcher with lacking control or wild control comments are similarly low value.

Besides relievers, you may also occasionally find a POT 11 with great hitting ability and absolutely no fielding skill who can be used at 1B/DH.

But usually POT 12s will be your baseline guys. POT 12s and POT 13s will eventually make up the core of your team once you have it rebuilt.

My team has bounce around between Legends and Div II for the last few years. And my major league team makeup is currently:

1 -- POT 15
4 -- POT 14
20 - POT 13
5 -- POT 12

Beaverton were in my league for my debut season (V7 in 2026). They were a really strong team then but faltered down the stretch and came 2nd, only to promote in 2027 (we did the opposite, promoted 2026, demoted 2027).

But its rather surprising to see an active manager (your predecessor) make only four draft choices since then. There is no better way to improve your team than by making draft picks, and making them on time. Look for players with "very good" potential in their scouting reports, then "good", then anything else. To see what the scouting reports actually translate into, see the second post here.

But FurySk has it right: your team is too old. Players start declining around age 30, so some of yours are seriously past it. Your pitching is fine apart from Herman and Blackburn. With the exception of Franzoni, who can still rake, your hitters at age 35-37 need to go. You need to find players age 25 or under with 12+ potential and room to grow. There is usually a fair number available in free agency/waivers, and this is the best time of year to find them.

Some good news, you have an outstanding manager, no need to change him at all. If you have any more questions just fire away in here.
