Been playing for 12 seasons (little over 2 years). Took team over in VI and have them in VI. I was wondering if you could evaluate my roster (any training tips?). I think pitching is my weakness. Starting to get old in major roster.

Thanks

Your lineup looks great! Good defensive builds combined with solid offense. Only thing I can catch is that DH should have a bit more power. Maybe some more power generally, only 111 homers so far (due to ballpark?), and only .416 SLG with .275 (!) AVG. It's a minor issue as you have most runs scored in the League, so hitting singles seems to be working.

Pitchingwise, why are you not giving starts to Johnston? He only had 13 last year and 8 this year. He's a really good finesse pitcher, combined with your defense should yield a lot of ground outs.
Becerra is the only starter that has proven bad over a large sample size of 129 starts. I would start Cueto or Morgan in his place.
Also take a look at management settings, your pitchers combined for 67/147 (45%) quality starts. This is a really low result given the skill of your starters.

You claimed that pitching is your problem, it's not the starters, but... your bullpen looks good too... Almost all of them are good enough to play any bullpen role. The only weak pitcher there is Villegas. Maybe you could tinker with management settings? Maybe they're not getting enough innings? Maybe you don't need specialist roles, just a standard MR MR2 SET SET2 CLR?

I also find it baffling that such good pitchers give up so many homeruns (171 so far) in a pitchers' park, which Euclid park clearly is with 345/370/410 settings. Can't find an explanation for that.

Your worst offenders in terms of HR/IP are Steams, Becerra, and Dale. If you look at those guys, you'll notice they all have low movement and horrendous GB/FB ratios. Not surprising to me at all that these guys are giving up a lot of HRs. You could try raising the wall height a bit, but the FBs are still going to get over. You might be better off going with a hitters park so you can even off the score. What sort of GB/FB ratios do your hitters have?

My starters GB/FB ratio is 2.13(Brambilla) to 0.81 (Ashley)

The ballpark is similar to Comerica Park

Ashley would do fine with higher walls, but most of your guys benefit more from lower walls.

I have a couple guys that give up a lot of HRs. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have. But you want to see good overall performance at least.

I think Stearns has the potential to turn things around, but Becerra is what he is. The best you can hope for is 1 HR per game and an ERA below 5.00. I think his tools are just not quite there in any category. His velocity is too low to dominate hitters, his movement is too low to trick hitters, and his CoS is too low to make up for all his other weaknesses. I don't think Becerra will ever impress at LL-4.

It was smart to drop Dale. He looks like a dead-end guy at LL-4.

Morgan has an unpredictable build, but can still improve.

Johnston's skills might not translate to LL-4, but he really hasn't had much chance to prove himself yet.

Villegas may still improve if you give him some starts... But he looks pretty underwhelming right now and he is will be 28 next season...
