I just read somewhere that 15 arm was the baseline catcher build, I was going off of that. Updated Wednesday, October 18 2017 @ 5:09:52 pm PDT |

You can go below the baseline and still find success, but if you run into a good baserunning team (see my team for example) they will absolutely make you regret playing offense over defense at C. 17-18 is what I've seen many long time owners call elite at a skill (and it is evidenced by it being the cut off of "amazing fielding", "unhittable fastball", "exceptional movement", "throw all day", "great hitter", and "prolific slugger"). That's why its worth looking at the actual CS%. In my experience, guys below 16 Arm don't tend to throw out a lot of runners. If the guy is a beast at the plate like "Mad Dog" Moody, well sometimes you have to work with what you have. But I also shoot for 17 Arm at catcher. Please ignore the 16 Arm guy I am training at catcher in my minors, LOL. |

I will probably keep him behind the plate, but training with another guy at SS just because. Thanks for feedback. I have been reading up a bit lately and finally discovered the bookmark tool. Nothing wrong with him playing at catcher either once he hits the majors. Nice to have the flexibility. Updated Thursday, October 19 2017 @ 3:39:00 pm PDT |
