So when do you guys let your oldies but goodies ride off into the sunset?
Age
SI drop
Performance
Price tag
Road Blocking youth

Having a hard time letting Hawke go. At 35yr old (11 seasons with the club) he just took a beating in Training update 0 and is demanding some serious cash.
His numbers have been steady which makes it hard to think of him as washed up.

I usually cut my older guys once their performance starts to go down.

If they are below replacement level they gotta go. If they are still playing well, then its usually because of their price tag, and having another capable option.

Well his numbers for last season stand up, so I'd be tempted to put him out there again. The caveats for that are:-

1. Can you afford to keep him? If yes, move to number 2. If no, cut him.
2. Do you have an in-house replacement? If yes, cut him. If no, keep him.

Of course, if he blows out of the gate then you probably cut him and move on!
