I have quite a few players that the AI is recommending I call up to the big leagues, however I feel like it might be a bit early for most of them. I'm curious to get some of your thoughts. Here are the players:

Shane Warren - He's probably ready, but I don't have a need for him this season and he doesn't have the "He may have learned all he can.." message.Probably wait to call him up at the start of next season? http://brokenbat.org/player/187197

Don Robison - Not stellar. Velo hasn't bumped up like I had hoped. Is he even worth keeping around at all? Still has some development left. He does have the "May have learned all he can..." message.

Jackson Tygart - He's still young. Has a lot of development left, ratings not ready for the big league, but he has the "May have learned all he can..." message.

Larry Littlefield - He's close... but I would like to leave him down for another season. However, he has the "May have learned..." message.

Tony Bartley - He's still young. Has a lot of development left, ratings not ready for the big league, but he has the "May have learned all he can..." message.

Hilario Ramirez - He's probably ready, but I don't have a need for him this season and he doesn't have the "He may have learned all he can.." message.Probably wait to call him up at the start of next season?

Kyle Farr - He's still young. Has a lot of development left, ratings not ready for the big league, but he has the "May have learned all he can..." message.

Warren and Ramirez are 25, so they won't receive an "all he can learn" report. When a guy hits 25, they are assumed ready (or not). By 25 the MiL growth is practically over...only ML exp to gain.

You've got a commanding lead in your division (congratulations!) and I would have no issue bringing the 24 yo's up for some exp before next year (Robison and Littlefield).

I would have issue with bringing up Tygart, Bartley, and Farr. I'd play them exclusively in the spring to get a jump on their exp gains (100 pitches/no hook and X-X pinch hitter in spring management settings).

Good luck!!!

I'd like to follow up this post with a similar question:

So the minor league season is officially over now right? My team is out of it so I was planning to bring up all the AAA guys with majors recommendations so they can keep getting ABs this year. Is this a smart plan, or is there a way for them to keep gaining SI in the minors at this time, even though they aren't playing games?

Then there is always the special case of Wendell Stewart:

24 year old with 121 SI. He was brought up too early by previous management so I had to let him spend 2041/2042 in AA/AAA to keep developing, which luckily worked. Even though he doesn't have a recommendation to be called up to the majors, could it still benefit him if I promote him now to keep getting 2042 at bats? The logic is next years he's going to be recommended as a 25 year old anyway, so just start now. If this could stunt him in some way I'd rather wait, so let me know if there's any reason to be cautious there.

by the way robinsmd, Hilario Ramirez looks like a great build for a SS to me, perfect combo of fielding/range/arm, with a fielding scouting call out as well so he'll get a bit better there.

I got a forum recommendation to flip Wendell Stewart from OF to SS this year and decided to try it as well.

The idea is that if they don't have the call-up recommendation there is still exp to be earned.

I'm with peacock. I'd try to squeeze another point out of him in the minors this season. You can play him heavy in the spring.
