BrianV Joined: 02/08/2016 Posts: 125 Inactive | My prospects have gone 18-3 in Spring Training so far, although in all fairness my bullpen is all Major League relieves due to a farm system weakness there. I know they are playing against other farm systems essentially, but I'm starting to wonder if some of these guys might be ready to make the jump sooner than later. Code:

I took a look and none of your AAA guys have even spent a full season there. And looking at their SIs, they would get killed by big league pitching. Just IMO. Interesting to me is I've never had a spring training lineup that consistent from top to bottom as yours is. I'll typically have 3-4 guys perform like studs and just as many hit below .200. I think that's probably the curse of small sample size. I would not read too much into the numbers from spring training games, good or bad. I've had a good spring too but I've got some 25 year old major leaguers getting reps in the field and a couple of middle relievers taking starts. Those guys are performing accordingly. I would be afraid your stats are more due to a favorable schedule with matchups. But you definitely should enjoy their success. |
