@Mig, welcome to the club called "Looking for Pitchers," btw I see 7 minor league pitchers in your system. If you are really desperate then I suggest signing one of the 18 year old 12 potential pitching prospects sitting in free agency. I had to sign four of them in the last week just to fill my minor league ranks.

Went to Puerto Rico and found 12 POT C with 9 Arm, 9 Range... sent him to back to PR.

3 weeks; 3 garbage pulls.

College, pulled this guy. I think I'll try to train him as a SS, my only misgiving is that he might not have a good enough arm, but I have plenty of guys that can play 2B already.

Took the only 'good' prospect in my list who had a decent scouting report.

Got Crawford, an 18 year old with 27 SI. He's not a good pitching prospect, but I don't have many of them.

He *could* be a 95-SI pitcher which may work out since his arm, fielding and range aren't great, but I'm not sure he has enough time to gain 60 SI.

I'm keeping him for now.

Very pleased with past couple of seasons, but so far: 12, 12, 12. Not too thrilled. At least the first one had a decent build. And the last one is 17, but, really?! An outfielder with a 6 Arm? And at only an "above average fielder", not a good candidate for 2B. Oh, and did I mention he'll "never be decent hitter"?

Oh well, on to next week.

@BrianV, 18 year olds have plenty of time to pan out with proper growth rate. At 18 no SI is too low to grow from in my opinion, I signed a guy with 18 SI before.

Yep, for a pitcher, low starting SI generally means nothing.

I'm currently trying to work with this guy. He was 18 SI at 20 y.o., and will probably end up around 65-70 SI by the time he's 25, but he looks too good to give up on him.

Fair enough, but Crawford was only 11POT, which means his upside isn't huge and I'll have to wait 7 seasons to see any benefit likely...
