I agree, I don't see any glaring problems with your team. The defense is a slight weakness, especially a SS with 11 fielding, but really the rest of the defense seems pretty good. You might just have a bunch of under-performers or bad luck.

I don't really see anything either. You lack a bit of range (and/or arm) in your OF but that's a rather small factor. But you have a good roster, good minors, have drafted well enough - just seems to be that the RNG dislikes you! Your numbers look decent enough across the board, and I'd expect you to be a contender - might just be a combination of bad luck and good competition.

Of course, having Tony Romo on your roster never did anyone any favours. ;)

ahha! you know.. in this weeks.. trying to shift from NFL to MLB is a big trend!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

i know defense is not very good, but since i had terrible hitting stats some season ago i put much effort on the bats. i was thinking that my management way was wrong, so this year i tried to go with "default settings" but wasnt' better.

i have a good finance too.. i think 50M balance could be an average one.

how much the Manager can influence? http://brokenbat.org/manager/1348

I looked quickly and the only thing that I could see is maybe management settings for pitchers. It looks like your starters aren't going very deep in games, which may be stressing your bullpen. I usually allow a starter with 12 stamina to go 100 pitches and give him a hook of 7 as a starting point.

I got to LL II and have stayed in it with low hooks on SP, so not buying that. Maybe pitch counts are too low though.

It really depends on where your strengths are. If your relievers are good, its not necessarily bad to pull the starter a little early (before he falls apart). Of course if your starter is a stud, you want him to stay in longer.

Next season i will try to adjust management settings again. But im wondering why you need to be so "specialist" just in league 5..

Maybe the global engine need to be more balanced

Ps. Starters actually are 120+ pitch count and 6 hook

I actually went with lower hooks and pitch counts because I didn't want a starter being given free reign to leave my hitters totally unable to get me back into the game, and it has worked perfectly for me until this season. It isn't so much about "specialists" as it is about trying to find the settings that win you the most ball games. I am beginning to think that my low pitch counts and short hooks are why my starters rarely get injured despite having a 4 man rotation as well. As for why the long hooks and high pitch counts are suggested, it's so that theoretically your best pitcher doesn't get taken out early and leave your sub-par bullpen to have to pitch 7 innings.

I think its random. I have low pitch counts, but my starters get injured all the time.

Or more likely its a hidden trait...

"Irish" Gary Byrd gets injured 2-3 times every year.
