I think you can win with a mix of just about anything provided you have enough fire power somewhere to make up for your shortcomings. However, I believe it's more difficult to get good pitchers because as a whole we're more hesitant to give up pitchers we're unsure about. We throw away position players fairly easily because we assume we can find a replacement, especially when they're not middle infielders or catchers.

Crazy Li Joined: 01/25/2015 Posts: 879 Inactive	Balance is most important IMO In real life, defense tends to win championships... but I've seen teams focused on great pitching still end up getting hammered by offensive-heavy teams when it comes to online sims like this. Aim to be good at everything and then you have your bases covered :p

Sadly most of my hitters seem to think lots of SO's few BB's and lackluster power are good attributes. Hence my struggle to get above .500 and catch 4th place and avoid regulation

Naturally they were stinking up the joint. What am I doing wrong below? Crazy Li Joined: 01/25/2015 Posts: 879 Inactive	I usually only can manage to get 4 pitchers that don't completely embarrass themselves, so I run a 4-man during the beginning and ends of the season, and cross my fingers during the middle of the year when I need 5. I've also had the misfortune of a lot of hitters under-performing this season... especially against LHP. It seems my hitters are always anemic against LHP... despite all being RHBs... I don't get it.
