This is going to be long winded. It's something I've been thinking on for sometime now. I will provide what I feel is proof for my reasoning on this topic. I'm going to do it a serious of posts so it is a bit easier to follow. Again, just my opinion but should get some interesting discussion going

Here it goes: I will start with a pitcher

Pitchers, good ones, are like precious gems. We all are digging for them and when we find one we horde it like it's a lifeline. After having played for awhile now I feel pitchers are at a disadvantage development wise compared to hitters. Let me outline an example:

Pitcher A

Fielding 8(8si)
Arm 8(8si)
Range. 8(8si)

Velocity. 6(9si)
C.O.S. 12(18si)
Movement. 14(21si)
Control. 12(18si)
Stamina. 12(18si)

So pitcher has an SI of 108. Now I will put up an example of a hitter with the same SI

Here is Hitter A: SI 108

Fielding 10
Arm 13
Range 13

Hitting 16
PD 14
BC 13
Power 16
Speed 13

Now I'm going to compare some numbers and explain why I feel that the way the SI for the core pitching attributes is unbalanced and handicaps them

Ok,let's add up the pitchers 4 core numbers. They equal 44. The batters 4 core numbers add up to 51(I only give half For power affecting overall hitting). So the batter has a +7. Let's divide this by 2 since the pitcher does have the advantage of "surprise" in that he is attacking and the hitter is defending. We'll round down to make it an even +3. So now the hitter here has a 30% advantage in this matchup because his core stat bars only cost 1si compared to the pitchers 1.5si. Thus pitchers are always behind the curve overall. Of course, this is just one humble mans opinion

Lol. Disregard all of the above. I misremembered the formula for pitchers wrong. So everything is skewed
