They'll still have way more players of quality under that age than any other country. A possible interest would be making it double elimination, losers go to a loser's bracket at play again against other losing teams, with a final face off between a team never lost and a team that only lost one series. More games, more chance to see your national team players, and more quality games and close series. EDIT: I just did a search of position players under 25 with over 115 sp. America has 20 position players. Japan was the next closest team with 4 Updated Thursday, February 23 2017 @ 2:33:36 pm PST Updated Thursday, February 23 2017 @ 2:35:50 pm PST |

They played every top tier team aside from Puerto Rico and Cuba. Well earned title. Cheers to the surprising Italy team with the run to the semis. Good fortune? Efforts of Team Italy paying dividends? A little of both? Edit: Pat Booth lowered his career WC ERA to 0.23 this season (over 25 games). Not too shabby.
