occham Joined: 11/07/2011 Posts: 258 Inactive | So, I've got a couple of 26 year olds that are clearly behind in training. They're already in the majors but are sitting in that 88-92 SI range. Any reason to play them by preference in Spring training? I'm kind of of the mind they'll get there when they get there but I know that Spring Training also seems to give players a bit of a bump. newtman Joined: 11/02/2013 Posts: 3343 Inactive | I have noticed that spring training seems to stop being useful for players at a certain point (i.e. even if they aren't finished developing they stop gaining SI from spring training at some point). If you have records of who if any of them played last spring training but didn't gain SI, then I wouldn't put them back in, otherwise I have always played young major leaguers with room left to grow. | ||
