Bridger Joined: 08/04/2016 Posts: 264 Muncie Flyers III.4	I've never relegated before. Is there a way to know whether I will be placed in V.9 or V.10? Grand Island and I both came up from V.9, but we can't both demote back to the same league.

I have only demoted once, and that one time followed the suit that hockey posited, but one case is hardly a sufficient sample size to confirm. Updated Wednesday, October 4 2017 @ 3:16:50 pm PDT

In 2030, the fifth place team dropped to VI.8, but in 2032, the fifth place team dropped to VI.7 instead. In both cases, the fifth place team was the higher ranked team, so that had no bearing on it. Team ID doesn’t decide it either, otherwise Cincinnati (ID #1) would only ever have been in .1 leagues.  It does indeed seem to be picked at random.

Bridger Joined: 08/04/2016 Posts: 264 Muncie Flyers III.4	Thanks guys...I should have done some research myself. For some reason, I was under the impression that teams were more likely to demote back to the league they came from...but that doesn't seem to be the case.
