I've got quite a few guys I still can't figure out. Let's start with Nick Griffin. He did great last year, but has totally bombed this year. 28 year old guy, so not much self life... Keep or cut?

I'd keep him. I've seen it many times, a career year followed by a career-worst. Normality tends to follow after that.

Hmm... Possibly. Problem is I have a whole squad full of guys like this... Next up Lucky Deliz. Did pretty well in his first three season up, but has completely bombed this season.

Griffin: He is still growing in SI. I would keep him if i had a spot at 1st base for him, or as an off the bench lefty. He would not start in the outfield on my team. (hell he would not even come close to the outfield with a 12 range for me)

Deliz: If you cut him, you will make someone in need of a DH very happy for a few seasons (As I was happy for the 3B Chacon when you let him go)

Yeah, a lot of the guys I cut do ok down in the lower leagues. My focus is if they can perform at the LL2/3 level. I'm fine with 12 range at a corner OF, but I'm not sure Griffin is actually still growing. He has been stagnant all year, and he wasn't treated well in the minors.

.252/.298/.465/.764. With 11 bombs in 200 innings and .988 fielding.

Not bad for an aging backup LL3 3B.

But I cut him too after that... 😉
