Holmes Joined: 11/07/2013 Posts: 1175 Inactive | @benchwarmer: Well, Babe Ruth had a 2.28 ERA in over 1200 innings pitched, so why not? The beard doesn't really fit the nickname, though. @Seca: You'll probably not be too surprised to find that I would have been more than happy to take a flyer on that Holmes guy... I officially declare 2040 a successfully draft season for the Isos, easily the most successful of the last 10 seasons. Two 15p position player (albeit far from the majors), a major-league-ready 14p position player, and a fringe prospect who might turn into an acceptable bench infielder thrown in. Even the one catch and release I had was a 13p (with a screwed-up skill profile). Updated Sunday, April 21 2019 @ 5:24:07 pm PDT |

On the other hand it also highlights just how randomly skewed the draft can be for no reason except RNG luck. |

Seca Joined: 05/05/2014 Posts: 5201 Waterloo Dinosaurs Legends | Haha Holmes! He's all yours. (You might want to reconsider tho ... 3 HRs in 3.1 IP not the best debut). Grats on the draft picks! On the other hand I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I consider the possibility of a run of draft luck to be good design. I fear parity. So long as it's not the same team reaping each season. I noticed that the potential of my draft picks has been climbing as I go through this draft season. 9 -> 11 -> 12. Got a feeling i have a douzy of an 8th rounder coming my way! |
