newtman Joined: 11/02/2013 Posts: 3343 Inactive	Meaning make guys who are dropped in late August before the waiver deadline on September 1 get processed on the last day so that everyone who was dropped before the deadline can be claimed. Those people who want to wait until after the deadline to drop old guys would have to wait until after the deadline to drop old guys without risking them going to other teams, but I think many already do wait until after the deadline to make those drops already.

Personally I just drop as needed and don't worry about timing. Given that the waiver system serves as a bit of a proxy for trading, I think this idea has a lot of merit and could give a little trade deadline flavor to the game.
