just wondering if this has ever been discussed. If a player goes on the DL would it be a good idea to be able to add/promote another player or free agent.

I know you could technically just demote the injured player and promote another player until they are back from injury, but if your team is shallow in that area it might be best to have the option to sign a free agent?

AAA is kind of like the disabled list for this game.

I think a thicker minor league system and a disabled list would be a great addition to this game. I think it just allows for greater flexibility and continuity.

Out of curiosity, do folks bump up against roster limits often?

Through my 11 seasons, I hovered between 45-48 players on my roster... so I personally wouldn't benefit from a DL function.

Anytime anyone of my players get injured for more than 5 days I call up a player from AAA that is ready for the Majors to fill the whole until the player is healed.

I am constantly forced to cut guys because I'm hitting the roster limit. Big part of this game is prioritizing who to cut and who to keep.
