Example: Team wins on a walk-off double, but is rewarded two runs like it would be in a regular situation. Is there any way this can be changed in the future?

I mean, if there’s a runner on third, any base hit would bring him in; the batter isn’t going to bother making it all the way to third base once the winning run has crossed the plate.

There are dozens of things that should be done before this, like not allowing pitchers to catch pop ups (the last phrase was tongue in cheek).
