Kittens-B-Us Joined: 01/17/2022 Posts: 42 Inactive | Because BABIP requires AB for pitchers would i be right in using the formula BABIP= (HITS-HRS) / AB { ((IPX3)+BB+HB) } -K-HR with AB being IPx3 + walks + hit batters or is there a way to see AB? is there a way to see Sacrifice flies for pitchers? for fly ball pitchers BABIP seems valuable in determining defense more than luck. |

Kittens-B-Us Joined: 01/17/2022 Posts: 42 Inactive | wOBA -- YES OPS treats obp and slg as equals but wOBA makes all xtra base hits worth more on a weighted scale - but i think the scale changes yearly so it may have to have a preset avg work into formula (thats computer stuff and out of my ability). |
