I’d love to see a pickoff stat added to the game, myself. It’d probably also require a new mechanic, though. (I’d sort of like to see it being a way to put Arm to use on a pitcher, but that’s me.)

It would be a Fielding attempt. Punch out. Caught stealing. Unless he over throughs then it would be an error.

+1, even if it's just more color in the play by play report.

Is there a real statistic in baseball that is used to track this? Pitcher Caught Stealing? CS percent for pitchers?

Wikipedia: "Pickoff records are imprecise, as it is not an official MLB statistic, and historical box scores typically did not distinguish between a pickoff and a caught stealing."

Even if it's not a coded stat, you might include it for fun in play-by-play color commentary once in a while when there'd normally be a caught stealing by the catcher? Adds variety and fun.

Exactly just new and rare in game flavor text. 15 arm pick off. Counts as fielding and Punch out.
