AssumedPseudonym Joined: 10/26/2016 Posts: 1130 Deerfield Beach Rats V.7	Not necessarily, I wouldn’t think, in the same way that a league MVP isn’t always on the League Champion — or even on a Division Champion. It’s the Most Valuable Player, after all; award it on the merits of the player performances, not the the team performances. If the best guy in the World Classic went .341 with 17 homers and 32 RBIs on a team that only made the Final Four, it doesn’t seem right to give the MVP to a guy on the winning team who hit .304 with 8 homers and 22 RBIs.

Rock777 Joined: 09/21/2014 Posts: 9595 Haverhill Halflings III.1	But league MVP is based on the entire season. World Cup MVP would just be based on the tournament. Seems unlikely anyone outside of the winner (or maybe second place team) would even be considered.
