It’s the Most Valuable Player, after all; award it on the merits of the player performances, not the the team performances. If the best guy in the World Classic went .341 with 17 homers and 32 RBIs on a team that only made the Final Four, it doesn’t seem right to give the MVP to a guy on the winning team who hit .304 with 8 homers and 22 RBIs. | ||
