I have my backup 2B coming into games as a OF, and the backup DH is not the player I set originally to be the backup DH. This happened sometime during my games on Feb 3rd, 2016, before that it was following the lineup. SpazX |

For pinch hitting, the sim just selects a player on the bench who it feels is a better hitter than the guy being replaced and for defensive subs, it picks a guy who it thinks is a better defender, I guess? Either way, the backups you set mean nothing for in-game substitutions. |
