There might just need to be an extra check in place where a player who’s already won RotY is removed from voting consideration the next season if he wins the award without meeting the criteria to not still be considered a rookie the next season. (Pitchers, man. They have to complicate everything, I’m tellin’ ya.) | ||

If they are still qualified to be a rookie next year, they probably didn't really play enough to win rookie of the year this year (especially since the rookie limit is based on time on roster rather than ABs or IPs). | ||
