gbbaber Joined: 06/05/2014 Posts: 8 Inactive	have you heard of drivethelane.com? It's the same guys that do deeproute.com and derbyfever.com. I've been playing the horse racing game since 1997 and the basketball game since it was first online, maybe 2000 or so. drivethelane is actually down right now and probably will be for another four months or so while major changes are taking place, but it's easily my favorite sim out there. Brokenbat is quickly approaching that status. @steve, a good sim for me has an aspect of building and fairly quick roster turnover, just like this game. There has to be an opportunity to improve quickly (I.E., free agency and draft in this game), but also the feeling of permanence with your roster, so that your great team that you've built isn't here today and gone tomorrow. I would urge you to allow player records to be kept after they retire, to point, keeping their statistics pages available. The more history that can be kept on individual players and teams the better, as that will keep existing players loyal when without that history they wouldn't feel so tied to the sim. You're doing an awesome job, man.

I had suggested to Steve back a way's to have a conversation with Mike as both their games require heavy database and sort and share many additional traits. Mike has learned how to handle those problems over the years with the horse SIM and also helped pick6 with the early database problems he had in DTL. I had posted on the main board at DTL about BrokenBat being available after kmoney decided to take it down for updating. Hopefully we'll see many players come over here as a short term alternative and end up staying. The game Steve has is certainly worthy of long term dedicated support.
