To Slug's point, I actually did some research on Norwalk to name my ballpark as well. Hard to pull up stakes in the night and ship off to somewhere else. Even just changing the logo is harder than you'd think it would be ;)

Say hello to the Novi Doubledays.

Decided to take the plunge after seeing that available Michigan cities had decreased by %33 since yesterday. Detroit would fit better, but Novi makes the transition from Norwalk a little easier I guess.

Well you're closer to home. When I started I did change towns and took the closest town I could find (luckily, I was assigned an eastern club).

Then named my park after the only other thing I could think of from Bloomington (besides IU). Hence, John Mellencamp Field, home of the "Cougars".

Our clubs are our identifiers. You can look through the standings and know who certain owners are.

I do wonder, if you were assigned a team on your side of the country, did you move it closer to your town or keep the town you were assigned?

It would be neat to allow customizable(?) town names. But then the east/west thing comes into play. I would like to see JJNZ's club named after some wilderness New Zealand outpost, or Frank choose some quaint Italian villa.

Rooks will be playing as soon as Steve approves the change.

Edit: The Rooks are in play :) Thanks Steve and Rock.

It's easier, just ask Steve to add a town in the USA that has the same name as the town you want to be based in. That's what I did with Warsaw :) Steve did it in less than a day.

From my work on the minor league towns, I can tell you, if it's a European town of any note, there's likely an American version tucked away somewhere.

EDIT: I don't think I'd like customizable place names though. Having to kind of adopt your city is one of the unique things about this game and it anchors things in reality in a nice way.

Wow, some great logos showing up here. Haselrig's artwork makes my little piece of dilettantism look downright shabby...
I've been thinking about a mascot change, but everything just fits too well. I'm originally a nuclear physicist, and I love the nerdy part of the Simpson's humor (I can recommend Simon Singh's book on math humor in the series). I've actually been known to use Mr Burns as my avatar in forums. Works with the city as an allusion to the Manhattan Project, as well. And finally, the team has gone by that name since I picked up the Manhattan Mustangs in League 6 in the 2015 season.
So, the Isos are here to stay. The only thing that has bothered me for a long time was the very generic logo, and that's been fixed, too.
The one thing I'm still mulling over is a different name for the ballpark. For the moment, I'm using Isotope Stadium following the logic of that other team in pinstripes over in real baseball...

@Endrju

That's awesome! I just requested that Stockholm be added. It is a mid-sized town in New York, but of course, it is referring to the capital of Sweden.

My stuff is as much luck as skill, Holmes. I have to find the right graphics to work with, so most of the credit goes to the original artists. All I really bring to the table is a certain eye for styles I like.

Nobody should get down on themselves for the logos they make. I started doing graphics on the computer for another online game I played four or five years before I found Broken Bat. Anything I've seen on here would put the stuff I made when I started to shame. Graphics is a skill like any other skill. The more you work at it, the better you'll become. I still struggle with making text look good, even though I've been working to get better there for a while now.

Haha I have a chuckle Private - unfortunately a large chunk of place names here are Maori - makes it a little bit harder to translate them into the states, however I'm sure I could find something if I ever got motivated to move out of Missoula!
