| Finally have something to talk about! Tatis Jr: Out. Kids doing kid stuff, but the Pad's are spending big $ to win now. Will this loss lead to a fire sale? Freeman to LA: Interesting that Atlanta was never seemingly in the picture. Bryant mega deal in Denver: If you're willing to lose, might as well get paid. Braves reloaded after losing Freeman, huh? Twins making a go at it. Does MLB need a salary floor? Here in Reds country, Banana Bob is in full sell mode. The pitching was good, but the club was all corner OF and 3rd basemen. That's what happens when the son of a minority owner plays GM. Now it's on to another 7-year rebuild for a pair of 3rd place finishes. Reds last post-season series win was 27 years ago. 27. |

| DH in both leagues now. Going to miss pitchers swinging. Me too, especially because when pitchers actually DID get a hit it's borderline euphoric, and that is gone now. Although my White Sox are in the AL so I never had to actually deal with pitchers hitting (except in interleague). So my gut reaction is that I hate the new DH in both leagues. BUT I have to say, it must be brutal for NL teams to have had the 9 spot in their order put up a .400 OPS and there is nothing they can do about it. So I kind of understand the inevitability of the MLB eliminating that in the modern game |
