Seca Joined: 05/05/2014 Posts: 5201 Waterloo Dinosaurs Legends | For newer players: there are no trades in Brokenbat. I'm not in favour of trades. Too hard to regulate. Too easy to abuse. This is not a pro-trade thread. Just a little fun while we wait for 2028 to heat up. What kind of trades could we work out if there were trades? Last season Holmes and I chit-chatted about a Dinos-Topes trade with Booth and Duncan as the principals. (Sorry if that was confidential Holmes). Would have taken some other pieces to get it done I think, but it was a fun discussion. Dinos could use a 2B. Major league ready. Excellent defensively, above average offensively. Have depth at 3B. Butler in untouchable, but Zarate could go for the right piece. I have a couple major league ready arms at AAA (Luque, Contreras) that I would be willing to include. If it were a blockbuster I would consider throwing in one of my bullpen studs (Conti, Barr, maybe Greene ... Maybe). Could also use a minor league OF. Range and arm, decent offense. Guys like Oates and Sharpe are redundant and could go. Not attached to any of minor league LHP. Updated Sunday, July 3 2016 @ 7:56:56 pm PDT |

His upside is fantastic at 26 but he still hasn't put it together, I figure this is the year though. It would take a pretty good package to get him. I would think a solid RHP no older than 30 plus a solid catcher. OR I would entertain a 25-28 year old SS with minimum 16s for F/R/A. Let's make a deal! |

Seca Joined: 05/05/2014 Posts: 5201 Waterloo Dinosaurs Legends | @Endrju - Wow, Cedillo would be perfect. Err ... Poker-face poker-face. He might do. Isn't MLB the only professional league where draft picks can't be traded? Think your trade might violate the collective agreement. . My 2nd rounders have historically been serviceable if unspectacular. I dunno. Like giving a lottery ticket to someone as a present. |

My starters at 2B and SS (especially) are getting old and there's no sign of an immediate replacement - the next 2B up is a great hitter/average fielder, and my backup plan at SS is a slick-fielding OF with no experience there (my best farm prospect is a few years away). So, I'd offer my 3Bs Waters and/or Lavoie, who is due up this season, for a 2B and/or SS! |

Even a 12 pot with low fielding would be good. Otherwise i could trade Carlson for a fully developed Righty 1B/DH 26-28 years old, but he must be a very good bat. I think i am one of few teams with a suprlus of pitching in my minors Updated Wednesday, July 6 2016 @ 3:53:08 am PDT |
