Will I expect his potential number to rise as he gets experience in order to be above average? Or can he be an above average player with a 9 potential? Is this a player to keep? | ||

Most players will remain at the same potential for their entire careers. Sometimes you'll find an 11 POT who can turn into a serviceable/decent player, but usually you should be looking for players with 12 POT or better. In other words, anyone less than 11 POT will be a bum, and you should cut them immediately. When looking at your draft pool it is usually best to follow this rule: very good potential --> good pot --> above average pot --> anything else. Some good potentials will be better prospects than very goods, but those are the minority. Updated Tuesday, May 1 2018 @ 7:34:27 am PDT |
