Well, is there anyone active in the forum in this league?

My division seems like already split in half, with 3rd position at 13-8 and the 4th at 7-12, maybe it's small semple size.

West division seems more equilibrated.

As we enter September, both of the pennant races look like they'll come down to the wire, as will both fights to escape relegation.

In the West, it's been a two-horse race for a while, with the Wahiawa Bears nipping at the heels of the Burien Beavers, and at this point, the Bears are only a game back at 65-52. At 51-66, the Santa Cruz Blue Jays sit 15 games back, too far behind to even think about the pennant, yet far enough away to stave off thoughts of relegation, at least for now. Three teams are in the neighborhood of the drop zone, with the Makakilo Bucs just 1/2 game out of relegation at 45-71. The North El Dorado Octopuses, at 45-72, would be going down if the season ended today, though their significantly less horrid -73 run differential (vs. Makakilo's -200) will likely give them an advantage in these last two months. Sitting in the cellar are the 44-72 Sparks Bengals, holders of V.10's worst run differential (-227).

In the East, the Des Plaines Elephants have ridden a 9-game winning streak to vault over the Roanoke Orioles for the top spot, and their 73-43 tally gives them a 1 1/2 game lead over the Orioles. The LaGrange Cubs are looking to give the O's and Elephants a run for their money, as they sit 4 1/2 back, and even the Dogwood Wranglers have an outside chance to put a run together, despite being 11 1/2 back. The Pontiac Lions, however, are almost certainly heading down to division VI next spring, a fate the Schaumburg Bombers are attempting to escape.

Not much new to report in any of the races...Wahiawa leads Burien by half a game in the West, while Des Plaines has a 1 1/2 game lead on Roanoke, with LaGrange still in striking distance at 5 games back. In the escape from relegation, North El Dorado has begun to separate from Sparks and Makakilo thanks to a 7-3 run in the last ten, while Dogwood's widened the gap between themselves and Schaumburg.

It's kind of unfair that in West there will be teams with projected record of 65W who will avoid relegation, and in the East .500 probably won't be enough.
