May 03 2063: Rebuild Official - by mjhack on February 8th, 2024

After many seasons of mediocrity, a decison was made to tear it down and rebuild. The previous mind-set was to go against the grain and attempt to move up the ranks with seasoned veterans and replace when they had reached their peak. But the success and upward climb never materialized. It is time to let the youth movement begin in earnest.

Sep 04 2055: Manager changed - by mjhack on July 6th, 2022

Hitting coach Brownlee has been named as interim manager after the firing of previous manager Clark. No other information was shared by an obviously upset ownership.

Jan 13 2051: Manager change - by mjhack on July 5th, 2021

Bobcats turn to Mexican League manager Jonathon Clark.Clark was suspiciously not retained after winning his league last year. When questioned about this, he stated the team and he decided to go in different directions. Bobcats fans are hopeful that he can help bring the team back to Div 3 or above. Several vets have also been released due to high salaries and/or poor performances.

Apr 29 2034: Housecleaning begins - by mjhack on November 1st, 2017

Longtime vets 2B/OF Matias Correa and OF Carlos Juarez were released soon after the management change today. The moves apparently were made to clear roster space for youngsters on their way up from the minors as no viable free agents appear to be available.Fans are hoping that this is more of a reload than a rebuild.

Apr 28 2034: Panic Time - by mjhack on November 1st, 2017

Today the Binghamton Bobcats released longtime manager Jesus Benevides and hired Dick Dixon. After one of the slowest starts in history and languishing in last place, owner mjhack made the change. "Bla bla bla... can't fire the whole team." was the gist of the announcement. The Bobcats were poised to be competitive for the pennant this year, but little has worked. Free Agent signee Arnold has done well as the new closer, and the hitting has been acceptable, but the overall pitching has been a major disappointment. With the expected loss of ace John "On" Call for over a month, drastic action was expected. A definite panic move, but a necessary one.
