Nov 04 2031: Warriors Win Championship - by GrizzlyDan on May 4th, 2017

The Wilson Warriors powered past the Oklahoma City Bobcats to claim the VI.6 Championship today.

With two outs and the Wilson faithful roaring and standing in anticipation, Oklahoma City's Fernando Izquierdo grounded a Mario Barraza offering into the third out, propelling Stadium Avenue and Tarboro Drive into pandemonium.

Home runs by Hess and Wilson and an Ace-like performance by Lloyd Hunter paced the Warriors. Hess's 2-run homer in the second inning put Wilson on top for keeps, and Ken Wilson hit a solo shot in the 7th to provide the winning margin.

Apr 02 2029: Grizzlies Power Past Bombers, Walk Off In Rubber Game - by GrizzlyDan on October 5th, 2016

The Wilson Grizzlies showed off their muscle in the clutch with two pinch-hit, extra-inning homers last night to take the rubber game of the three-game set with Hilton Head. Down 6-4 in the 11th with two outs, offseason acquisition Xavier Hastings belted a two-run homer to tie the score, then reserve stalwart Wayne Farley ended it with a tape-measure shot into a tumultuous crowd. The win puts the Grizzlies in an early tie for first place with the Quincy Patriots.
