Jul 30 2062: Comeback time? - by Fireballer34 on December 17th, 2023

Before inter league play we were struggling. Last in our division and looking at a demotion right back to VI. Since then, waiver pickups like Nathan Kent, BJ Jeffers, and Lindsey Crisp to name a few of the many pickups we used to reshape our roster. We have since turned it around, only three games away from avoiding relegation. We only had 2 all-stars this season, veteran Emilio Reyes, which an all-star award seems normal to him, and 26 year old ace Marty Law, who already has 11 wins and is posting an ERA of under 1.50. Hopefully we can continue this success and stay in this conference for next year.

Aug 29 2061: Mansfield Rallies Back From 3-0 - by Fireballer34 on October 9th, 2023

The Mansfield Reds had a 3 game series against the Independence Mountaineers yesterday, and won 2 out of 3. Although they won one of the games 10-0, the game that really stood out was game 2. Independence jumped out to a 3-0 start with a first inning frenzy, and it seemed like they would hold that lead. In the bottom of the sixth though, a sac fly gave the Reds their first run. It still seemed like too little too late until the eighth when slugger BJ Jones hit his 21st home run of the year to tie it up. In the bottom of the ninth, Melvin Earnheart doubled to right. It still seemed destined for extras though as there was 2 outs. The rookie catcher, Kraig Hiramatsu was up. He has been a phenom this year with 15 home runs and a 270 average. He smoked a ground ball single into right and Humphries (the pinch runner) came in to score to win the game. Hiramatsu seems destined for greatness.
