No doubt you'll be back in the finals soon. Sorry for the confusion as I posted my message to you in the wrong spot! Freddy |

The 2054 draft class of Wynne, Plummer and Mendez has carried us for a long time. Its on its last legs now. Wynne just hanging in for 2 more wins to ove up 1 slot on the team leaderboard then he will go. Change at 1B. Let Duke go in the off-season. I guess Ivy takes over. No much defensively, doesn't hit for power. Not a lot of optimism around the former 14 pot. Sorta think it is going to be a long season for Waterloo. |

Most of whom have moved on due to significant decay... We didn't have much luck on the waivers replacing those guys, so I expect an ugly season at Hospital Hill. |

Despite Rock777 and I both being around here longer than the wallpaper, I think we've only played 2 seasons together. (Thats a gut feeling, didn't do any research). |

Also of note that 2042 was the only season the three of us were together and it was awful for all 3 of us (don't let my 2nd place finish fool you, we went on a catastrophic 2nd half from 1st place to where we were teasing demotion). Let's hope all of us can do better than 2042 this season. Cards enter 2068 Legends as the babies of the league at an average ML age just below 27. 8 guys with less than a year of experience, 6 of which will be starters in some capacity. Being ranked 4th in the west gives us the long road trips to start the year (kicking off this season with a 10 game roadie). We're expecting a slow start out the gate but can hopefully stay competitive with the youth movement. The new blood in the league looks like they can hold their own so I imagine we will have a very tough season ahead of us. |

I think rock provided some useful advice way back when proper grammar was still a lost concept to me, lol. I'll join the club of preseason apprehension. The Jacobins are an overpaid and overweight (aged) ball club and don't have any particular thrilling youth movement happening... But so has been the story for the past several seasons. Pitching has been the lifeline for the past several seasons. Herrera putting on a renaissance last season, and there's still hope that there's a little magic left in the bucket. Valentine is an exciting young bullpen pitcher. Otherwise it's all about hoping to duplicate last season's success. The offense was bottom tier last season not any significant improvements were made. Here's to hoping for good RNG rolls. Cheers! |

Think I sort of blanked on the time Waterloo spent in II.1. Was really hoping Wynne could scratch out 2 more wins before we part ways with him (so he can pass Grant on our all-time wins list; Grant wasn't one of mine). But 3 HRs in 3+ IP in his first start isn't promising. Edit: HR differential might be the most important stat we follow. 4 hit 11 surrendered during the first 2 series for -7. Not a good start, but localized in a couple poor performers. Updated Thursday, February 20 2025 @ 7:46:24 am PST |
