Ended up with Storey. Very happy with him. Prototypical RF build, and great starting SI (8 hitting in particular is very good for a 17 year old in rookie ball). Think there is a decent chance Storey ends up better than either my first or second rounders of this season. Depends on if he can generate some launch angle. |

Didn't have much for pitching prospects, but had a SS with this scouting report: He can be a very good hitter. He can develop into an above average slugger. He is really quick. He has very good overall potential. For Round 5, I had to give him a look. Although I need pitching, and he certainly isn't a shortstop, I think he will be alright in the OF. |

As a 12 POT he's going to have to max out to get his other skills up to match his hitting, otherwise he might just be a reserve. Went college like 12twelve but didn't land a Campbell. Did land a 13 POT in Barrett, but he might not last. He'll get a pass for now as I had to cut two pitchers to make room for promotions. |

I'm not expecting him to become the face of the franchise. I still think he could be better than my 1st and 2nd rounders (not saying much). His good starting SI makes me think he has a decent chance at 102-103. I don't really care about his BC and PD. The bigger issue is the lack of speed and power scouting. I don't need singles hitters. He's going to have to be one of those 8-9 power guys that somehow hits 20 HRs a season. |

Schmidt isn't likely a star, but if he can keep the HRs down he could be a useful guy to have around. Worth keeping a couple seasons to see how he fares in the minors. This looked like a poor draft season after the first 3 rounds. Now looking very good. |
