Heh. Let's not lose context here. :) I think Storey is very nice for a 5th round 12 pot. I'm not expecting him to become the face of the franchise.

I still think he could be better than my 1st and 2nd rounders (not saying much). His good starting SI makes me think he has a decent chance at 102-103. I don't really care about his BC and PD. The bigger issue is the lack of speed and power scouting. I don't need singles hitters. He's going to have to be one of those 8-9 power guys that somehow hits 20 HRs a season.

I don't know if I'm supposed to say this, but I got brokenbat.org/player/189228 (Jens Micheals) in the fifth.

@chkwhat, he's an instant cut. I'd keep him if he had either a "very good" or "great" hitting report, which he doesn't.

Well, his scouting report is:

He can develop into a decent slugger. He has decent speed. He has above average overall potential.

Another tidbit about Storey. Just noticed he’s got my top prospect rating at a whopping 73.5. 4 points better than Meadows. :o

I thought I might have found a potential middle infielder this round.
What do you look for in late round middle infielder scouting? How about amazing defense and decent speed and good potential? Obviously hoping for some range.
Not so much.

I was quite pleased with my 6th rounder. Schmidt isn't likely a star, but if he can keep the HRs down he could be a useful guy to have around. Worth keeping a couple seasons to see how he fares in the minors.

This looked like a poor draft season after the first 3 rounds. Now looking very good.
